Myth 3: Avocados make you fat

Myth 5: Saturated fat makes you fat
When it comes to fats, the well-known rule of thumb is: “unsaturated” means healthy and “saturated” should be eaten in moderation. But saturated fats aren't all bad! This only applies to the two saturated fatty acids palmitic acid and stearic acid, which are actually somewhat critical and promote heart disease. Only when saturated fatty acids are consumed with sugar and quickly digestible carbohydrates does a fattening effect occur.
